Fatimie Ashyrova

For me art is realisation of myself as a part of God's design, understanding of my purpose in this world, self-expression of my inner world through painting.

Biography

Fatimie Ashyrova is a versatile artist whose work combines realism, cultural symbolism and visionary landscapes. Born in Uzbekistan in 1979, she took an early interest in art but took a long break before returning to painting at the age of 37. She was initially self-taught but later honed her skills through formal training, exploring different styles and techniques.

Fatimie now lives in Ireland and illustrates old Irish streets and houses, combining her deep heritage with her new surroundings. Her ethnic style paintings include intricate national ornaments that symbolise the traditions and identity of her people. Her portfolio also includes visionary landscapes, inspired by Quranic descriptions of Paradise, she creates tranquil, otherworldly scenes that evoke harmony and contemplation.
